International collaboration with other universities, global vision, and attracting international talent were some of the key elements that Juan Pablo Murra, Rector of Undergraduate and Graduate Studies at the Tec, sees as necessary for universities in Latin America to face the region’s challenges.

Tec de Monterrey has taken part in a panel held by the QS evaluation firm to discuss developing new competencies for students and graduates in the 21st century.

Tec de Monterrey was visited by the Ambassador of Canada, Graeme C. Clark, and the Consul of Canada in Monterrey, Sandra Shaddick. They met with the institution’s directors and with students on the Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations.

MIT and Tecnológico de Monterrey, Mexico’s largest private university, have teamed up for the MIT REAP Focus Mexico initiative, which is designed to help the region accelerate economic growth and job creation through Innovation-Driven Entrepreneurship (IDE).

A delegation from the U.S.-Mexico Foundation has visited Tec de Monterrey in search of greater collaboration with the institution.
